Features
- Our eLab workshop is a hands-on session where you don't learn about how to complete your application. No, you actually complete your application right then and there.
- The SBA 8(a) eLab fee is $2,900 dollars. Because of your in-person presence, Fedmarket is able to charge you less for the personal consulting you receive in the eLab. As an SBA 8(a) eLab participant you receive one-on-one assistance so that your application is completed within a very short timeframe.
- A full request for information (RFI) document tells you exactly what documents and information you'll need to complete your application.
- Our instructions include which systems you need to have accounts for and how these need to updated to be ready to support your application.
- Whatever the twist, our experts will be able to guide you through how to address it in the application.
- Our eLab is supported by an SBA 8(a) application package that contains writing guidelines that assist you in tailoring standard language to your specific situation.
- The Fedmarket eLab takes a different approach than other methods in that both standard and non-standard documents - e.g. time in business waiver - are included in the low SBA 8(a) eLab fee.

How the SBA 8(a) eLab Works
Our proven eLab method is built around three
pillars: come prepared, get hands-on with you application, and work alongside SBA
8(a) subject matter experts to complete the application for SBA 8(a) certification.
The result is a completed SBA 8(a) certification application ready to be submitted
to the Small Business Administration for approval.
Come Prepared
When you sign up to participate in the SBA 8(a) eLab, our
subject matter experts confirm with you that you meet certain minimum
eligibility criteria. You are also emailed a Request for Information (RFI)
document. This details very specifically the information you need to collect and
bring with you to the workshop, which government systems you need to be signed
up for, and which tax forms and supporting documents will need to be filed with
the application. Each RFI is tailored for each type of corporate entity:
corporations, LLCs, partnerships, and sole proprietorships so no matter your
corporate profile, the RFI will have you covered.
Hands-On Event
The SBA 8(a) eLab is not a seminar, a course, or a workshop. Rather, our experienced 8(a) consultants will lead you through a hands-on working event, the result of which will be that your 8(a) application will be ready to be submitted to the Small Business Administration (SBA) at the conclusion of the 2 days.
Knowledge of the SBA 8(a) program, documents needed, and evaluation procedures are not required because of the intuitive approach used to create and assemble the 8(a) application package.
Upon arriving at the SBA 8(a) eLab, you will be directed to your own desktop computer. You will use the same computer for the duration of the event. All of your corporate data may be stored on that computer and you alone will have access to that data. At the conclusion of the event all corporate data will thereafter be deleted.
You will be given detailed instructions on preparing the SBA 8(a) application. Among other learning tools, you will be given detailed templates, writing guidelines and in-in depth insight from our subject matter experts to assist in the application's preparation.
There are many pieces of information that you will handle over the course of the eLab. We are here to assist you in keeping track so you can focus on ensuring that the information you are entering into forms and text you are creating in the narrative statement(s) is correct, accurate and positions you for a successful application. This is achieved by keeping track of your progress using the milestones table and the checklist that are incorporated into the SBA 8(a) eLab package that you are provided with.
The workshop is conducted by SBA 8(a) subject matter experts who have prepared countless applications. Their experience, insight and expertise is placed at your disposal. During the course of the SBA 8(a) eLab you are encouraged to raise your concerns and questions so that these can be methodically gone through and your application can reflect a best practice approach.
